As @CYBER-NINJA said, they are compatible to an extent, you do need the seat tank.

From a collectors point of view, the bike would be worth more as an R.

If you like the rear tail light then maybe I suggest using something like the Acerbis tail light. That would tidy the rear end up nicely. You could mount it to a HPires rear fender.

You could try something called Modelstrip. Available from many model shops, it strips paint off plastic models without damaging the plastic. Obviously test a small area first. Brake fluid will whiten the plastic. Bear in mind they were likely sprayed because they were worn out.

As someone else said, it would likely be cheaper and better just to buy new. I bought a new rear fender for Β£20 from Fowlers. Cheap as chips.

Well , forgot to update it in here , I won the fight with the bolt. Stripped the bike anyway. All the problems because swingarm bearings colapsed . After desperate 6 hr fight , Im took enginr out with swingarm on it and cut the pin with angle grinder. It was pile of rust mixed with wd40 looked like curry. Big advice to you guys , keep an eye on the swingarm pivot bolt and lube it regulary and inspect the swingarm bearings as well 😊 you dont want to experience the removal πŸ˜€

Ah that's ideal then the calipers and carriers are the same from 99-04 I messed up and bought an 06 swingarm and an 02 caliper by mistake but near enough have everything to finish it now, just need to cut off my lower linkage mounts and mount my new ones then the rear is basically finished πŸ™‚
