<![CDATA[Ignition covers]]>Hi guys, I was going through my spares today and noticed one of the ignition covers has 3 screws and a metal plate inside and the other was just plastic, does any one know why and which goes with what engine? as mine is a bit of a mungrel

The other the stator mounts ot the crank case.

So it depends on which type of engine you have. It's only the 4DLs and DTREs where the magneto is inverted and the stator mounted to the cover.

Unless of course I am mistaken.
