Spedo face -
Spedo faceThanks Ninja. After thinking a bit I'm actually going to try Markus's suggestion and knock one up in photoshop. I will hi res scan the original and redo the black background and numbers etc. and hunt out a vinyl printing place. The things that have put me off the chino KPH clock is maybe the cable gearing will need an adaptor? & the bike has a recorded 14k miles & it'd be nice to keep that. I will do a b4 and after regardless of success or fail.

Spedo faceThanks chaps. Had a look at the cheapo Chinese ones & probably do the job I reckon, might have to source a decent set of MPH stickers to add to it as I'll be sending it back home to the UK. So many other none original bits (decals, gaiters etc.) it's not really gonna make a huge difference. Thought about changing the facia but the rest of the unit is pretty shabby so may look a bit odd. 3 month wait for delivery!! but plenty to be getting on with.

Spedo faceHi all, 92 DT125r nut n bolt project slowly moving onwards & most parts have been fairly easy to source. Probs gonna find it tough but cannot find anywhere that might have an MPH spedometer face, looks like someone tried to clean my one at some point & the paint has gone. Any pointers hugely appreciated. Tried the usual ebay etc.

90's DTr purple colour schemes@NINJA Thanks Ninja, unfortunately that was just an example bike to try and work out the proper colour scheme, mine looks mostly like this at the mo

90's DTr purple colour schemes@markus-w Thanks for that Markus, I've emailed Yamaha so see what they come up with. The body shop reckon they can get the colour right with their scanner so maybe that'll sort it.

90's DTr purple colour schemes@declan Yeah found them but I can't seem to tie them in with the Yamaha colour codes?

90's DTr purple colour schemesThanks Calum, it was via Google - Scrim's post about his project that got me here, his had a dark grey seat which has added to my curiosity. Well spotted with the "electric" I hadn't seen that. Mine's a UK bike that I found in Spain & that teal seat & gaiter combo would be my choice if it was a factory setup.

90's DTr purple colour schemesHi all, first post & great forum. Have a 92 barn find (8 miles since 1996!!!) and decided on a nut&bolt resto. I can't work out the correct colour scheme as bits missing and/or have been replaced. I've found 3 photos of similar but not sure if they are factory setup or have been customised. Any idea or suggestions on the best choice? I'd like to keep it as original as possible.
