2005 dt125RE
-
Father passed away a few month ago and left me his dt125re.
Snapped the oil bolt a and me and my friend took.it apart and extracted it and replaced it along with the casing gasket. ( first time doing it everything went back.together fine )
Took it out and it started overheating ( warning light and if top end would.make your finger sizzle when wet )
It had coolant in but when i pushed it back.home expansion tank was empty.
Filled if back up and it did not circulate.
I think.we managed to bleed it and topped it back up and went out for an hour for a proper ride and didnt overheat.
However it wouldnt kick over and was no spark.
We managed to bump it so we could let it idle for abit before we bled the cooling system.
What could be the problem here with the coolant and the spark?
Also i premixed the fuel as wasnt too confisent with the 2 stroke pump as i put a.marker on it took it out for a good hour of solid riding and the levels havent moved , if they have its absolutely miniscule.
The front headlight also.seems to be very hot to the touch.
Im not.mechanically savvy but trying to learn as best i can.
Can anyone shed some light on these problems?
Also i used castrol 5w 30 oil is this ok or should i change next time i go out on it?
