Carb Chaos

Sooo I have two pretty beaten up stock mikuni tm28ss carbs out of which im hoping to get a single functional one. This is my first carburated bike im working on so i need your help otherwise im toast. Upon opening up one carb i saw this: https://imgur.com/GZxcLuH its not that visible in the photo but the right hand side bracket that holds the pin for the floats is snapped clean off (im guessing making this carb unusable). Upon opening up carb number 2 I saw this https://imgur.com/qYvScym which looks pretty good (yes needs cleaning and the jets underneath probably need some love and what not) BUT on the outside of the carb this little pipe (which ive no clue what is does) is all messed up and bent and cracked https://imgur.com/thgq6Xc .What does this pipe do? is any of em savable? Also carb number 2 has no choke https://imgur.com/aJkwzQt but im guessing i can take it off the first one and replace it?? Im so lost over here lads...all help is appreciated

It's doable. I've taken parts from 3 Mikuni 28s.One from my DT,one of a TDR250,one that has oil feed tube don't know what bike and made my current carb.
The one with broken is off,the bent tube is overflow if memory serves.
Chokes are the same.
