RE: Clutch cables
Okay I've taken one for the team and purchased the absaloute cheapest clutch cable I could find at a blistering Β£7.50, it came next day delivery free extremely well packaged the outside sheath is very thick and really flexible and the inner cable is really thick no imperfections anywhere and fits as well as you would want, now it is worth noting though that the particular bike I fitted it on isn't a dt frame however this shouldn't interfere with anything as it still takes roughly the same length cable stock, and naturally I have no affiliation with the ebay store I got this from. >https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fits-Yamaha-DT-125-R-UK-1988-2003-Clutch-Cable-3BN-26335-00-/114768761867?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0

RE: Letβs talk clutch cables
Same as calum genuine if possible I've had my dt many years and still don't have a proper clutch cable the cheap ebay ones didn't even remotely fit my bikes still using a clutch cable from a 50cc motorbike it works okay with a spacer I will get round to getting one eventually

RE: DTR stator plate
Looks like I have the same stator set up I got a dtre engine missing the stator so I fitted the spare I had from what I believe is an old tzr125 it's the 3 coil one with the matching flywheel then took the spragg clutch off the back of the X flywheel and it's a direct fit onto the "tzr" flywheel

420 pitch front engine sprocket?
Hi long time no speak, does anyone have a lead on an engine drive sprocket that fits the dtr/x that's available in 420 pitch as currently on my engine swapped bike my rear sprocket is 420 but my chain is 428 and I can't find a rear sprocket that's in 428 so hopefully I can find a front sprocket to switch the whole system to the same pitch (420) all my research hasn't turned anything up though. The only alternative is custom sprockets but I really don't want to go that route

RE: Rubber stator gasket
@spookdog yes metal type it seems fine with the rubber gasket but if I can't sort the squishing issue then I'll just go back to paper gaskets
