Refitting carb hacksI would litteraly rather do a full engine rebuild than mess with the dt carb it's so bad I find it makes it easier if you loosen the airbox and pull it back to give you as much room as possible

Clutch cables@Calum ill bet You £7.50 it doesent no it's just a project bike haven't ridden it more than 10 minutes at this point
-
Clutch cablesOkay I've taken one for the team and purchased the absaloute cheapest clutch cable I could find at a blistering £7.50, it came next day delivery free extremely well packaged the outside sheath is very thick and really flexible and the inner cable is really thick no imperfections anywhere and fits as well as you would want, now it is worth noting though that the particular bike I fitted it on isn't a dt frame however this shouldn't interfere with anything as it still takes roughly the same length cable stock, and naturally I have no affiliation with the ebay store I got this from. >https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fits-Yamaha-DT-125-R-UK-1988-2003-Clutch-Cable-3BN-26335-00-/114768761867?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0

Issue with top bar@Calum yeah I had same issues on android just refreshing the page fixes it for me though
-
Let’s talk clutch cablesSame as calum genuine if possible I've had my dt many years and still don't have a proper clutch cable the cheap ebay ones didn't even remotely fit my bikes still using a clutch cable from a 50cc motorbike it works okay with a spacer I will get round to getting one eventually

420 pitch front engine sprocket?I think I may have found one that's for a ybr 250
-
DTR stator plateLooks like I have the same stator set up I got a dtre engine missing the stator so I fitted the spare I had from what I believe is an old tzr125 it's the 3 coil one with the matching flywheel then took the spragg clutch off the back of the X flywheel and it's a direct fit onto the "tzr" flywheel
-
420 pitch front engine sprocket?Hi long time no speak, does anyone have a lead on an engine drive sprocket that fits the dtr/x that's available in 420 pitch as currently on my engine swapped bike my rear sprocket is 420 but my chain is 428 and I can't find a rear sprocket that's in 428 so hopefully I can find a front sprocket to switch the whole system to the same pitch (420) all my research hasn't turned anything up though. The only alternative is custom sprockets but I really don't want to go that route

Rubber stator gasket@spookdog yes metal type it seems fine with the rubber gasket but if I can't sort the squishing issue then I'll just go back to paper gaskets
-
Rubber stator gasket@markus-w got it thanks mate
-
Rubber stator gasket@markus-w sorry for being dumb but what's the exact location of the o rings, and yes I know what cups you are talking about I saw them on the diagram but had no idea what they were for
-
Rubber stator gasket@calum yeah but in theory it would work since you can only tighten that bolt down so far. I'm thinking I'll just make some little m6 dowel pin spacers just enough so it seals the cases but not squashing the gasket out of shape
-
Rubber stator gasketHello guys, I've been running into issues with my stator flywheel set up I'm running a 3 coil tzr style stator and flywheel on my dtx engine, and the flywheel at times seizes against the coils which isn't ideal so I ordered a thick rubber athena gasket to space the coils out a bit and that seems fine now but my issue is the gasket gets squished too much when tightening it down since it's just rubber, from looking at the diagrams there's special bolts for the rubber gasket are those what I need?

Where’s Wally / The idle jet@calum yeah they're definitely wurth the money
