Saw this advertised this morning and just got back from picking it up!
Road legal CR85 on sumo wheels. Should be a nice bit of fun when it's running but at the moment it looks like this!

Wheelies at night
Went out with a couple of mates last night and recorded some nice looking footage using the headlights of a Ford Focus and a battery powered LED floodlight. Hope you all enjoy !

RE: Top speed
TDR 125 upjetted with stock exhaust and airbox opened up. There was still a little bit left to go though!

TDR Cruising Nicely
Been taking the bike to work everyday whilst we have the nice weather, always amazes me how versatile this bike is. Anything from green lanes to motorway riding without issues. Bike was absolutely radiating heat after this ride though! Puts the stock exhaust through a lot

Clear Carb Warming Hoses
I am totally in love with see through parts when it comes to engines. My dream would be to have totally clear engine cases, but as that's probably not possible, I'll settle with smaller bits. So far I only have the classic see through oil delivery line going from the pump to the carb / reed block but saw recently on the old forum that @Calum had see through carb warming hoses at one point. He didn't test them out though so this will be a bit of a trial run... I am hoping it will look pretty nice with the green coolant I use.
So I ordered 2 metres of this stuff. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222427995004 The ad says it's for the coolant overflow, so I am hoping it will be rated to cope with the usual coolant operating temperatures.
Further down the road I hope to replace all of the coolant hoses with clear ones, as well as trying to fabricate or source one of the notorious see through clutch covers.
This one was made by Nelson Ferreira, the same guy who makes the stainless steel DT pipes.
And finally the last part that is actually feasible is the oil pump cover as seen in this pic.

Commuting
In the past couple of weeks I have been using the my TDR 125 to commute 40 miles a day when it's not raining, 36 of which are on the motorway.
I must say it has been a real treat. Although I obviously can't travel at the sort of speeds I can do on my MT-03, it is 10x more comfy, and going back to road riding on a two stroke is exactly how I remembered it. A crap load of fun!
Usually cruising between 7k and 8k on the revometer so probably overdoing it a bit at times, but it seems to be coping pretty nicely. So far I've had an indicated 85 on the speedo which I think is mad considering it's got the stock exhaust on it!
Warms up nice and quickly after I first pull away and usually stays solid in the middle of the heat gauge for the whole journey. Overall really enjoying it and it's definitely tempting me more and more to sell up and upgrade to the 250 version!

Mayday
Anybody else go to Hastings today?
Haven't been on Mayday before, it was mad!
Never seen one of these before. RSK 500

RE: Twin rad
@Zrako, @gareth_iowc already mentioned why they won't fit without modification to the frame. That picture you showed is Calums brother YZ.. nothing to do with the DT.

RE: Help Removing Swinging Arm Linkage :))
Pictures fixed
Could be completely wrong but it looks to me like it might push out rather than unscrew, but could be rust seized so will require a lot of force.
I've never actually removed the linkage on one of these bikes so I wouldn't start hammering until someone else can confirm though

Awesome cleaning job on those parts. Vaqua seems like a thing of dreams

@bakerDT125R-SM I ended up selling this middle of last year and forgot to update the thread!

RE: Silencer failed mot
Never heard of this MOT rule before
I'm assuming a hand made pipe would fail too then unless the creator stamped some numbers on it?

RE: Engine Rebuilt, Now wont start, and makes horrible dump valve sound when turned off
I imagine the sound you heard was like the first few seconds of this vid?
In that bike's case it was the bottom end on the way out and there was play in the conrod but obviously shouldn't be the case with your bike.
Could be compression related though I guess.. Did you get your cylinder checked for correct sized piston?

RE: Coolant problem
Might sound silly but you are using a genuine head gasket or an Athena one yes?

Spotted on one of the DT Facebook pages
It's a Grom with a KTM LC2 engine (Same as DT engine)
A chap named Mike Taylor is building it. Pretty cool I thought. I found riding an actual Grom pretty dull so a DT engine might make it a bit more interesting. -
RE: What's missing here?
Just to chime something else in, my TDR doesn't really have much past 9-10k either, but it seems to be due to a small hole where my silencer meets the expansion chamber. Whenever I patch it up, I get much more pull up the top of the rev range. Sadly my fixes don't last long
