2007 DTRE restoration -
2007 DTRE restoration@NINJA I've tried using imgur for the pictures and gave up. I've copied the url for the image, then the "bb code" that they say is for forums, tried on the app and the desktop version for my phone and neither work. I used imgur about 6 months ago on a nissan forum and didn't have any issues now I just cant use it

2007 DTRE restorationPretty much finished for now few little jobs left and waiting on the chain and few other parts to arrive in the post. Went all Rolf Harris with the side plastics and splashed some paint on them so it wasn't just all plain black, not too keen on it so will probably buy some graphics for it. Also need to buy a new seat cover to get rid of the blue
Counted around 32 hours to strip and rebuild, didn't spend any time on the engine as it will need to come out again for a rebuild after summer, showing 105ish psi on a compression check still starts with no issues and runs good but read 120+ is healthy so a top end refresh is on the to do list

2007 DTRE restoration@Calum when I try to upload the original picture it's too large a file so I screenshot them to resize it, probably a better way of doing it

2007 DTRE restoration@Calum I've not done my bike test yet, i was planning to do it this month but it's all went tits up with the country being in lockdown so I'll be sticking to the 125 until next year now.
Just starting to prime the parts now, etch prime, rub back down then satin black

2007 DTRE restorationI re done my cbt this year after 10 years, bought an rs125 to use for a couple months until I done my bike test then the lockdown happened so looks like I'll need to stick to a 125 for this year.
I'm a bit tall for the aprilia so been keeping an eye out for a DT125, picked this up and started on it yesterday. Will update as I go, hoping to have it in for MOT next week, doing the work inbetween nightshift this week but hoping to get the hours jammed in.
The frame, forks and swing arm will be done in satin black and I'll be fitting the supermoto wheels from my WR125. Going to paint the plastics as they don't seem easy to buy online unless I'm looking in the wrong places
