HI Calum I thought this site had gone down , I dont have the DT any more it wasnt getting used so sold it on , last I heard it went back to the guy that bought it new and he is doing a rebuild of it taking it back to original apart from the deristrict mod that he had done that had been done well it was sweet I some times wish I had kept it but it was just not getting used , I still have the ST1100 but that too has not been used much over the last year with a house down size to a old gadgies bungalow the house was getting too much for both the wife and I then a couple of weeks after moving in here I went in for a rebuild they fitted me up with a new ball joint in the right hip bendy bit it took me a bit of time to get over that but am gettng there now but as I was getting better there was the job of laying 2x2 concrete slabs and a shed to build to put the bike in which is all done now so now it is time to get the old girl MoT'd ( no the ST not the wife ) and get it back on the road I desperatly need to get bum on seat and get some milage in ( 73 years young now time is racing by ) talking of racing I no longer do the Marshalling too old and fell out with some of the top brass in the ACU but we wont go there too complicated for on here , I only dropped on here while clearing out a old laptop for the great grand daughter to use for her school work I will have to log in on my new lap top and keep an eye on you all the best for now

I'm back! -
It's only meI all ways end up regretting parting with bikes, but the Stinker was hard to part with as she was such fun , but to be just sat there not getting used was not good the other sad part was that I see it flying around with the young dude that bought it thrashing the nuts off it , knowing he is going to kill it , I just hope he doesn't kill him self in the process as she was full power and she had clean power smooth as could be , Oh here we go can I have it back ?? this lens had better live up to expectation or I will be sick , oh well time to drag out the next project to take my mind off it a C90 not sure how it will end up

It's only mehad forgoten about the move to this site Cal it had been that long ( sorry ) and when this was created I had not altered the book mark silly Old fool , but yes i did eventually part with the beloved little stinker some thing I at one time thought I would never do but times alter and she was not getting used and I wanted some finance for other things(big F off lens for the camera ) ,so let her go not with out some troubles , sold it and the bank transfer didnt go through and was left for a week till I got her back with no money and no bike but I got the bike bake and another young man came and bought it but this time cash in hand no messing , I have retired from the Marshaling need to spend more time with the Boss now that her disabilities are getting worse , we still go to some of the race meetings , was at Scarborough last week end am going to the IOM on Friday for the Southern 100 , we had a trip in the Bugilow up to Jock Scotch Land a month or so ago to do what they call the NC500 what a great trip that was, if any of you ever get chance to go look it up and have a go loads do it on bikes , well recomended , so toodle pip for now I will pop in from time to time to check up on you all , thanks for all your help , I would have stuggled without it cheers guys

Bored whith this weather nowThe little stinker loving life playing with the big boys , after what has felt like a long wet winter it was time to get out there for a play , and oh boy did we enjoy ourselves the little Stinker singing it song and its pilot with that big ear to ear stupid grin , we did the local Biker Cafe , Squires charity Easter Egg run which started at the Cafe at Sherburn in Helmet to Malton about a 45 mile run , the cafe is a 30 mile run for me to get there then the run home so all in it was a about a 110 mile ride out , and bike and man feel so much better for it , the ride home was fun I was with two friends one on a 1000 yam faser and a big yam custom job that is parked along side me in the first picture , and me being on the little Stinker they thought it had better be me leading the way ha ha ha fools took a wrong turn and ended up on a little back lane two strips of tarmac with a strip of gravel down the middle , no problem for the Stinker as you know all too well but with a 1700 cc cruiser two up and a 1000 Fasser two up I dont think they were best pleased , and then we ended up at a bridge that was closed but open to walkers and cyclists so it was decided we are cyclists Ok motorcyclists so why not have a look , well two ladders laid down side by side with a scaffold board on top of them did not look too inviting for the big boys , Stinker would have been away with it but seeing as I had got them in to this mess I had to try and save the day and get them back to civilisation well pop the Stinker on the sidestand lean it over quick swivel and thats me ready for the off 4 dirty looks that could kill 4 shunts each and 15 mins later we are on our way character building I call it , dont think they saw it that way Oh well think that could be the end of me leader of the pack days finished ,

Bored whith this weather nowWell first planed ride that will be done no other than snow and ice is for an easter egg run on the last weekend in March , but am hoping to sneak out for a ride long before that , but it is our 50th wedding anniversary next week so will be busy with the boss and the family but the forecast is not looking good so will just have to see how we go
the ride out shot was one of the most emotional rides we have ever done , and we have done a few over the years sadly , it was in the IOM for Joey Dunlop , amazing they said at the time upwards of 5000 bikes took part , how accurate that was I wouldn't know

Santa runBeen on the Squires Santa run today well wet in windy conditions but the little stinker did her stuff along with the big boys , I was a little worried about fuel not being sure how many MPG she would do but I rimmed it before setting off and called in to the only garage on the run and rimmed it again and it worked out at as near as makes no matter 70 MPG well chuffed

Old noob saying hi!And as a young 69 year old I can confirm that the advice these lads have on here is top shop I got my first DT just over two years ago and fond the info helped me no end and not sure if I would have carried on with it if I hadn't had them there to help out , enjoy

Yorkshire ride of rememberenceI have to admit that I have not been on as much as I would like due to family comitments, but I fully intend to spend a bit more time catching up over the winter months , I have retired from the Marshaling now and hope to spend some of the time I spent doing that to riding the bikes instead and tinkering , so will be using the site for the Dt tech stuff not that I need a lot of that at the moment as the little stinker is running well , just hope she stays that way for a while
-
Yorkshire ride of rememberenceJust sad that we seam to have lost it a bit at the moment as there doesn't seem to be posts going on either of the sites when not that long ago we had one well active site now we have two hardly used sites oh well forums do seem to have a shelf life a bit of a pity they need to be user friendly easy to find and easy to use and too many catogaries can be a no no and getting told off for every two mins for not being good at computer stuff is one BIG no no frightens people off all together , I have just left one site because of that and it's use has nose dived through heavy handed policing shame but there we go
-
Yorkshire ride of rememberenceGave the little stinker a run out last Sunday playing with the big boys on the rememberence ride it was a good day I put it up on the old site but but not sure which site people are supposed to be using these days as there doesn't seem to be much action on either , what's happening Cal ??
