LED Indicators

Hello all,
The project of getting my friends 2005 DTRE on the road continues.. with possibly the most frustrating indicators ever known to man. Dont want them on but mot tester says it's a requirement.
Finally wired them up to find they dont flash, does anyone know why this is? Apologises if this has been asked a million times, I couldnt seem to find a thread on this.

You need to have the right relay and resistor setup to get them flashing properly.
Not worth the hassle. You can get a set of pattern OEM indicators from Wemoto. Much cheaper than OEM.
Also, that's not true about indicators. It's perfectly legal to not have indicators. However the switch must not be present.
The handlebar switch can be slip open and the mechanism removed. Then a piece of black insulation tape over the stickers that say it's the indicators is sufficient.
I've had bikes MOT'd with no lights and or indicators no problems. The legal requirement is just a brake light. The rest can be done on a "Day Time" MOT. And I don't know what the difference is.
The bike just had a piece of cardboard over the front headlight, as it didn't generate enough power on tick over to power the horn and the headlight. And that passed with it noted as an advisory that no lights were present at the time of the test.

@Calum thanks for the advice calum. Can I ask where you had your MOT done? There isnt anything stating there must be indicators if there is a front headlight or anything? Would be much easier to remove the indicators as it will used mainly for green lane rides around Gloucestershire

You would need to remove the indicators and remove any signs of a switch.
I used to take mine to scooter red on arle lane. But I don't know if he's still there.
So you can take it to AGM on Bouncers Lane.
Just tell them before hand that it has no indicators nor switch beforehand.
