Reed valve stopper gap

A while back I bought a new set of reeds for my Belgarda TDR125 new that were for a DT125R because the originals had gone rat tailed and the stoppers were odd.
Now I've come to fit the new ones and they are also odd gaps. One is 6.8mm as the Haynes manual says but the other is nearer 10mm just like the old set.
As this must be right does anyone know which way up they fit in
