Speedo cable and magneto on wheel

Anyone no where i can buy speedo cable original and the magnetic bit for the front wheel one on mine seems to be loose moves around slightly and me speedo stopped working its very lose anyway pulls away from the wheel like there used to be a spacer there next to it or something..

Are you running original clocks ? Just the Speedo drive is located at the front spindle. Some aftermarket clocks run a sensor on the fork leg and as you say a magnet on the rim or spokes. -
@Scootjockey yes i know where the drive is located if ya watch the video lol
but these original clocks i have noticed on loads of videos and i have tested it my self when there cable driven they aint very accurate the always about 10 mph out even whn i have had other speedos to test it ..then i tested my mates and his original clocks were same -
They have a spinning centre that acts against a magnet in the clocks. If any rust or other metallic crap builds up it can impair the ‘spin’. I had a tiny nut come loose inside that made my rev counter look like a fuckin to~yo!

Nah, I was on about the clocks themselves. If your Speedo and a mates (known good) speedo say the same, they’re probably good. More likely that a previous owner has put the wrong snail drive out of a different bike on yours…
You want to look for a Yamaha with the same size spindle-bolt that has a 4 nut clamp on the right side. Xt’s and older Dt’s will probably be the same. Even some non 21inch wheels might use the same drive?…Fowlers will have the part number if you want to search for it…
