Bogging out
-
Check the following:
- How is the engine?
- Is it healthy?
- What PSI is it making?
- Is the airbox blocked?
- Are any of the jets blocked?
- Are the reeds within tolerance?
- Is the exhaust clogged?
- Oil residue can sit in the expansion chamber rendering it useless
- Risky but pouring petrol into it and setting fire to it can clear this
- Is the end can blocked?
If the engines healthy and all air ways are clear, intake, exhaust, then the final thing is electrical.
Are you using a genuine ignition coil? Renew if it's not measuring within tolerance.
Is the CDI good? Is it starting to go bad?
Is the YPVS playing havoc, pin it open and retry the run.

I had this issue with my bike, I had a airleak on my inlet rubber, causing air to get through ran lovely on choke (more fuel) but not when off, fixed that and it’s all good, all jetting is different for theses bikes, I had a French import and jets was 22.5 pilot and 210 main ran lovely even when changing to Boyseen reeds Athena downpipe etc never had to change jetting plug was always a nice brown colour.
With my current dtr I’m running 27.5 pilot, 240 main jet needle clip in the middle with snorkel removed and runs really good getting 79.5mph on GPS speedometer and stock 16/57 gearing.
