@bananper looks to me like he adores polishing. Have you seen the engine? Too much time on his hands. I tried to polish my vespa casings. I eventually managed to smooth out the sand-cast like imperfections all over with a rotory polishing tool and dremel then just gave up. No patience for aesthetics here unfortunately. Thankfully the other half is starting to love sanding! Got a few jobs for her already lined up. Next i just have to get her in to painting!

Athena 170@irongamer727 I've had casting issues with polini and malossi too. Never good fun. Usually they still need case matching and porting work. Not too bad when you can get new, performance crank cases for like a hundred quid on the little peds. Horrible if you enjoy a bike other than a moped basically. Incidentally just ordered an Athena kit to take a good look myself.

Honda hornet 600 opinions@oldman said in Honda hornet 600 opinions:
Hornet is a good bike and quick in full power model. Tank is small so filling up regular and carbs can require attention periodically. Repaired and MOTD one a few years ago and surprised me with power and handling, a more up,market bandit but not sure if I would fancy on a long journey, not much protection on the naked one (think they did one with half fairing)
Yeah they did haha. Hornet S. My bad.

Honda hornet 600 opinions@oldman the CBF? The version with fairing isn't a hornet for that reason alone, right?
I can highly recommend a cb600 as a first bike. Mine used to fly.
Had 48k on the clock when I bought it for a mere £600, I did another 15k with very little servicing in a 12 month period. Front wheel will lift for fun with a little extra throttle and clutch work. My gripe was comfort for daily riding and commuting. Wasnt too bad, but I was young and constantly slouched. They are the perfect bike for your needs. -
Motorcycle transport/courier recommendationsHonestly, I would recommend posting a job on SHIPLY.COM with the bike derails.
If you aren't in a huge hurry they offer to might pick it up with a few other things and do it for as little as possible. Ive had a few bikes delivered through different shiply couriers. They're all insured and good handlers. They also have to compete against each others quotes, so garuntees a fair price!
