@SpookDog what kind of sealant should i use, gasket maker or smth??

@erion1 i ordered a piston now but im concerned about my rod bearing or crank bearings so im thinking about spliting the cases, so i want to know if the mid case gasket is reusable or do i need a replacement

@Hark_Ptooie yeah its the diameter of the piston, the standard is 56.00mm if you get a bigger one you need to rebore the cylinder so that piston can fit

@SpookDog i dont really know maybe parts were changed at some point, it has unrestricted cdi and no speed limits whatsoever but i will for sure open that sheet up to see what is it for

i want to know if those are correct so i can make mine too
its not a rush project it will take much time but i just want to start slowly somewhere and maybe i can start designing it on my pc
and as it wont be much pricey why not just start something

i just saw that some guy made a homemade pipe and i had the idea to make one before seeing that but after i was that he did it it gave me more inspiration to make one my self too, i just got the app that makes the tuning of the pipe but it asks for ports and stuff does anyone know any of these info for the dt125r.

@Arild hey maybe this is too old and idk if you still use this account but i wanted to ask if you can share the measurements for the expansion pipe

@HOTSHOT-III i dont think it had a washer when i took the bike apart bc i checked it but some have a restriction in middle of the pipe on the widest point, as for the silencer i don't have the original one anymore it has a fake akrapovic 4t exhaust

@HOTSHOT-III it was imported from swiss here to kosovo i could may be the 2nd owner of this bike from factory
but im trying to get more info about this type of pipe, and i don't think its some type of restriction as the bike is a 4bl 91 model with unrestricted cdi
i may open it up to see what is it.
btw do unrestricted dt's still have restrictions in exhaust

creating another post about my exhaust pipe as i see that i have a maybe rare pipe and i wanna know if this model has a resriction in the middle as it can be disassembled in 2 pieces and i can remove it here is a pic of it

i never saw an exhaust that is put together in the middle like that

@MadGyver yeah i get what you mean, im not woired that much about the crank i just know that it used to loose my coolant and i know that i drove it everyday and i dont think water could of stayed in the engine to cause corrosion, based on my thinking(haha) i just imagine that the water evaporated from the crank everytime i ran the bike

@SpookDog i will make a vid when i open it up, but all im saying is if that noise is normal i think it comes from crank rotating and the pistons it should be normal as things move there and make friction. anyways i will make a video when i open it up again and send a video and we can discuss a bit more acurately

@MadGyver yeah it has low compression its easy to kick and had blow by when i opened it, the bike is waiting for a rebuid i just got a top end athena gasket today i will get a piston in 2-3 weeks and i will send the barrel for a rebore to 57mm im just trying to check if the crank bearings are in good condition as my bike drank coolant before and i was thinking it could of caused corrosion in the bearings and that could sent my whole engine to the moon

@SpookDog no i mean the noise that it makes the first 3times that i kick it or maybe its just the normal sound the bike makes when turned over, as for when its runing it doesn't make any noise

@SpookDog yo one last thing i made a video today of kicking the bike over just so you can hear the bike make that friction noise to know if the crank is good, idk maybe just my stress is making me hear it or idk here is the vid https://imgur.com/gallery/HRIy3mb

@SpookDog yeah i know about power valve, i was just thinking would the top end gasket be smaller than the barrel but it should be fine

@SpookDog i got a top end athena gasket kit but since i have to rebore to 57mm bore will it be a problem ?

@MadGyver on the front brake hose it is repeated many times it writes DOT NCRN 12/91 1/8 HL im guessing that 12/91 refers to december 1991 maybe ?

@SpookDog yeah it was smooth only when the piston was going up it got harder to rotate from little bit of compresion as i didn't remove the whole cylinder out,
the frame is a 4DK-006706 the engine is the same
