    • RE: dt 125 re carb inlet boost bottle missing

For some reason a guy made a thread on how to "de-restrict" the Dt125rs
Some were correct but made 3 mistakes

      1. Remove the boost bottle on airbox to carb hose and bung it.

      2. Blank off y.e.i.s. On inlet manifold.

      3. Cut off the airflow guide on the inlet manifold. (the part that sits inside the reed block.

This has misinformed many people, so many previous owners of your DTs have been messed about with.

Here's what a Kitted out DT125r looks like next to the DT200wr

The DTR is so much more chunky. But it does have higher profile and wider tyres + all the accessories on.

I'll get some good shots outside soon when the light is good.
The lights inside look awful so I used BW.

So the oil pump was not flowing. Took it off and the outlet was block. Removed the hose tail and I drilled the smaller bore. Oil now flows through.

Without taking the pump alart again I am unsure if I have drilled too deep and the oil is bypass internally. By blowing through it and operating the throttle.. it doesn't seem to flow more or less on throttle position. Does there need to be drive to the pump and is it a variable gear inside is what changes the flow?

So going to have to inspect.
      Or compare to another.

Also bike cuts out when put into gear with stand up or down.. I think it's a faulty sidestand switch
A few little things to sort 🤣

      Anyway.. a few pics

All lights, switches and horn are on and functional

      Seat brackets made up.

Waiting for my starter motor to arrive.
Then decide what way to go for exhaust.

Got a few small but satisfying jobs to do.

Fit the 17t front sprocket to gear up.

Fit stronger clutch springs (uprated wr200 ones)

      Coolant and oil change.

      Custom thicker core alloy radiator.

Replace LH crank case cover with a silver one to match.

General fine tune and visual tweeks.

I have it on the bench next to a standard one with a spare sub frame bracket. Bottom hose connector needs repositioning. Mounting brackets need welding on and also for the guard

      Frame is now powdered
      New tapered headset bearings installed.
      Front end half on
New top bushes for the rear shocks to make it compatible.
      Here's a little mock up.

Just waiting for my new bike lift to come.
I've got some pod filters on order + crank case vent filters.
Rejetted carbs using an online calculator (I will fine tune but as a starting point for the intake and exhaust mods)

I have a slightly nicer/longer seat now which will suit my stealth appearance.

Crazy, I send and receive parts from Europe every other day. Best way is don't charge or pay VAT on items same as the rest of the world and you may have to pay customs charges at the local countries rate.
TNT are the best courier service I'm getting right now.

    • RE: '92 Yamaha WR200

@nottsbiker I'm pretty sure a wr400 wheel fits with the right spacers each side. My bike came with a spare set of wheels, the front one was a wr400. I didn't ever fit it but the previous owner said he used it with his off road tyres.

Also I'm pretty sure a TT or TTR model shares the same front disc

    • RE: Ypvs servo motor

The way the guy in the video has done it would make the valve not operate correctly.

The pulley on the motor is not the same size as the plastic pulley on the cylinder.... It's changed the rotary parameter and timing.

Also I'm pretty sure it would be running backwards as the servo is now facing the cylinder.
