@Calum and do you think pipercross filters are a good addition or are they no different from stock?

@Calum open up the airbox in what way? And then do you think an opened up airbox would be better than stock?

I know the snorkel delete makes it harder to jet but the bike will be put on the dyno. Bearing in mind I’m retaining the stock carb, stock ports and port timing and a zeeltronic cdi, would it benefit from stock restrictive snorkel or no snorkel, a previous owner removed it so that’s how I’ve got it running now, thanks.

@Calum How do I check for crank seal leak? It’s not burning its gear oil, I sprayed fluid into the oil filler cap on the stator side while it was running and didn’t seem to take anything in

Put a 22.5 pilot in and it’s running super lean like it’s got an air leak I sprayed carb cleaner around the manifold, carb and boot can’t say I noticed a leak, cleaned the carb (brass tubes, air vents, jets) previous owner had it running with a zip tie on the choke plunger when it was stock ages ago since I put the 170 in and new jets I took the zip tie off and runs super lean again, turned the air screw all the way in no difference, only runs well with choke partially open

@Calum I believe a previous owner removed the snorkel, shall I leave as is? As tune may compensate for air velocity lost to an extent

I’m getting my dt125re dyno tuned and was considering the pipercross air filter just to make sure everything’s dialed in before hand. Do they actually flow better even if it’s just a tiny bit? As I noticed they appear to be the same shape and both made of foam
