Hi all, I'm getting a little confused! The DT I have been looking at turns out to be K reg'. That makes it 1992. Is this a DT125R or DT125LC?

That will be a DTR mate. R's started from 89-04
RE's from 05-07.There are DTR's on 88's as well, for some reason or other.
Would you want an LC out of interest?

wrote on 24 Jan 2018, 20:31 last edited by Calum@harri Sorry, I thought it would come across like that.
I don't own an LC, I was just interested as to whether or not you had a preference for an LC if it turned out to be one. Or were you in the market for an R.
I mean they are two totally different bikes. I don't know much at all about the LC's.

Obviously speed isn't everything, there are stylistic things as well that I always admired. The YEIS Bottle for example had that stamped into the side.Same with the YPVS.
They're more retro and therefore more cool. You see less of them and they did three models of them. I think the LC's are cool bikes, they lack the availability of parts, but no doubt the DTR will soon follow suit.

Have you heard the phrase , 'snooze and you lose'? well I stalled on buying the DT I have been talking about and going today to see it with the intention of buying it, found it in the back of a van! A guy had just bought it! It was a non runner and I took too much time investigating parts availability e.t.c. And it was dirt cheap! Hey ho, live and learn.

@harri Hey mate, don't worry. Plenty of bargains non runners about. There is one for sale on this very site in fact from a friend of the moderator. Wasn't asking much and might be worth a buy. Wanted £300 for it.
wrote on 27 Jan 2018, 15:28 last edited byHi, yes I saw that for sale. But to be honest, the one I stalled on was the same price and practically a runner with no parts missing as far as I could see. That's not gonna come around again. So you can understand why I'm kicking myself now.

@harri They come around all the time. Just be sure to check the engine and frame numbers. A lot of these cheap "runners" tend to be stolen unfortunately.

Thanks Calum, any thoughts on the bike? Another thought I've just had. I am going to offer the guy who bought the DT I was looking at more than he paid for it!
