    Hi all, the powervalve on my 2006 Yamaha DT has started to work intermittently, which is very annoying to say the least.

    Things that have been replaced or fixed recently are as follows;

    Battery
    Voltage Rectifier
    Cleaned up the Main early Wire to bike.
    Starter Solenoid
    New Starter Motor

    I have checked the five wires that run from the CDI down to my powervalve and all seem to be working with very little resistance (anything between 0.04 and 0.07).

    Where does this leave me? The power valve does the cleaning cycle every time I turn the ignition on, but that’s about it.

      Could be the CDI going faulty. Does it happen when the bike gets hot?

        It happens so randomly. Some days it works, other times it doesn’t. Regardless of heat or how long it’s not been ridden for.

          @GoProKid95 have a brand new power valve in the box if yours proves faulty, bought in error as I only do early bikes with the three wire servo, .Have to say wasn't cheap though, you would probably be better off getting a second hand one if needed.
