Dtr only sparks with ignition off

Can anyone help bike was running fine all day went to start it this evening and nothing so done the norm turned out it had no spark after some messing around found that it will spark perfectly but only wen the ignition is switched off some one suggested the orange wire on the coil and it started first kick once then not again back to only sparking with ignition off

@lacey Could be a faulty ignition barrel? Best thing to do is clean the wire contacts up to make sure everything is getting the best possible connection and proceed from there and see how she goes! Make sure no wires are worn or making contact with other wires they shouldn't. I wouldn't say it would be the ignition coil seeing as it does start but when the keys in the off position doesn't sound right to me ..
