@mhbikesnbits I mean I tried using photos.google.com but I was getting issues with visibility, even though I was sure I set the folder public.

Google isn't going anywhere so I figured that would be the best bet.

But really I just use imgur.com, but in recent years that's got heavily commericalised.

@mhbikesnbits You have to use the URL of the image, not the post.

@Calum Earlier today I tried posting up some pics from Flickr in my Bigger Radiator thread, I posted up the URLs but I only got the white line as well. Is Flickr compatible with this forum?

@HOTSHOT-III Yup, you have to post the URL of the photo, not the website. The forum isn't clever and can't figure out what you mean.

The "Upload image" function keeps complaining that my pictures are too big.

I understand that the issue is that they are sent to your Raspberry Pi, and you do not wish to swamp it with terabytes of JPEGs, and I am fine with using small images - but it would be nice to get some indication as to how big those are allowed to be. Right now I am just scaling and guessing.

@Hark_Ptooie You need to use an Image hosting provider such as Imgur/Flicker or bring your own.

Image uploading is effectively disabled, so there shouldn't be anyway to upload images to this site. The fact you've made them so small that you can upload them is moot. I don't back up images, so when this forum gets hacked/destroyed and I have to restore it, there won't be any images restored in that process. Since I keep many back ups and do it regularly it all costs money.
