    Not sure I've put this in the right forum category but just had a quick look around this website and it seems very informative, the explanation about different types of CDI units was interesting as I know almost nothing about the post-'98 bikes. However they left out 3MB, maybe that electrical system was never supplied in Germany (hit translate):
