Hello again, just wondering i'm trying to make my TDR more off road capable, should've bought a DT but here in ireland their isn't one under 4k. So i got the 1998 TDR for nice and cheap and I'm trying to make it as capable off road as possible as I plan on doing some of TET on it . Does anyone know if the DT Forks, Shocks and wheels will bolt straight on?

Are they not the same? I think the TDR should be just as capable off road as the DTR. Neither particularly brilliant but do the job.

I didn't think the forks were different.

Maybe not but my front ones look a bit shorter and different compared to the dt. Just put a XT350 rear shock on the back, jacked the back up my about 5 inches. I'll try and get my hands on some DT wheels later

I used to flat foot it easily at 6ft 1 with knee bend, now I'm on my tippy toes on it 🤣

Yeah, the part numbers are different.

              DTR Fork: 3BN-23102-01
              TDR Fork: 4FU-23102-00

The bottom legs will be different to take the bigger disc and calliper, no?…

I’d just get a 21inch rim laced to the existing hub if possible. To keep the upgraded brakes!…

                They are spoked, aren’t they?…

PS It’s weird! I’d like to lower my rear by 5cm, just to level out the seat. It gives me ‘ball burn’ constantly slipping forwards! 😳
Anything to lower my ‘barn door’ profile as well!…

                  ![bike.jpeg](Image dimensions are too big)
dunno if this will work, The picture doesn't really do justice to how tall, was thinking of putting XT600 front forks on then it would be a beast, sadly i've got the alloy rims so @SpookDog that wouldn't work for me.
