      Hi all,

I have just finished putting my dt back together after being in bits for 6 years but for the life of me I cannot remember where the two hoses for the coolant expansion tank go. The top one will obviously connect to the top of the radiator but where is the bottom one supposed to join onto?

      Would appreciate your help.

      Many thanks

The top one allows water to escape from the main coolant loop when necessary. The bottom one should be attached to the top of the radiator.

Where does the top one actually connect onto ? there are two lines coming from the head which obviously connect to the carb, and then there is one outlet from the radiator which the bottom hose attaches to - besides those three outlets I can't see where the top hose from the expansion tank actually connects to

The top hose doesn't connect anywhere, its an overflow/expansion system.

On my bike it feeds down through the middle of the frame and pokes out near the spring/swingarm.

The bottom pipe connects to the top of the radiator so that the back expansion bottle acts as an expansion/overflow bottle.
