CAT B Write Off - Back on road?
-
@stinkwheeler Your still the registered owner of that bike I take it? You can rebuild the bike and say it was found, but if the insurance company has paid out then the 'stolen tag' on it will remain. I highly doubt if you can get that tag removed, as it would be a loophole which unscrupulous people would exploit. The DVLA would be wise to this, plus if you ever got pulled over by the police, their records would show it was a stolen bike. Which could mean that the would confiscate it and then that's a job and a half to get it back, if indeed you can? All in all it's just not worth the aggro, use it as a field bike and get a legit one for the road, as that will save you the grief in the long run!!!

@NINJA the bike was reported stolen but never claimed on the insurance that was the point i have the logbook and original pannels engine with matching numbers loom ... so if i had the frame and re vined it I'd have a bike for the price of a written off frame.
