Dt 125r dyno

But why they have dynoed some 24hp? Thats some bullshit everyone sais that it has 24hp and it doesnt.

Maximum power - Output - Horsepower 14.10 HP (10.3 kW) @ 7000 RPM

Tuned? I'm sure it's possible. But not stock.
-
I have giannelli exhaust but even here says stock. How does yamaha have so shitty engines because every other 2 stroke 125cc 1990-2019 makes more power.
-
It's not shitty, it's road going.
It's designed to be commuted on daily with virtually zero maintenance.
-
Reads original so full power? 24hp. Do they have regional differences?
-
There were a few differences depending on region. But 15 Hp is about what I'd expect to see out of a factory DTR.
A pipe will make a difference and a decent CDI.
The rest will be marginal gains.
-
I guess i have to buy another bike but how could some dynos get 24hp from small changes and another 13hp
-
What does tuning mean? Heres one with stock motor. Maybe pipe? https://youtu.be/bAzNrjtCfps
-
Shoot. What i need to do to get more power? I have the better head, giannelli exhaust, carbon reeds.
-
What i need to do to get 25hp? And thats its grazy that yamaha wr 125x has higher tuning stage and more power tham my 2 stroke
-
@jonne123 How is crazy?
The DTR uses an engine designed in the 80s and wasn't changed in its entire lifetime.
The WRX is a modern four stroke engine and you're comparing it against something made 30+ years ago.
The two stroke engine hasn't been developed massively for a long time. Four strokes have come on leaps and bounds.
-
Now im sad i shouldnt dynoed the thing
-
@jonne123 To get 25hp out of the stock DTR motor? I wouldn't even know. Port the barrel, increase the compression ratio, correct the squish band. Widen the exhaust port. Use an aftermarket ignition system. Use an underslung exhaust. bigger carb, uprate the air intake. Lighten the flywheel.
-
So im simple terms its easier to buy another bike.
-
@jonne123 Not really, that sort of power at the wheel is good. And is still faster than the WRX. The WRX will be making that power for a very short time at the upper range, where as the DTR produces max power at 7K and revs to 12k.
The two stroke engine produces more power end of. Then it's just a case of how you tune it as to where that power is made.
My RS easily trumps my DT for power. But you really have to be in the powerband to use it. The DTR I can ride at low RPMs happily.
