Hi my first post after intro, so apologies if the format or the location of this post is wrong!
As per the title the Tacho is reading 1500 rpm when the engine is not running - any tricks to try and get it to read lower? - I have tried using an old inner cable to 'wind it back down' but this just lasts for a second or so till it regains it default position (but thought it might tell me a bit about what was wrong)

I suppose I can keep doing the maths when setting up idle and riding round, but would be handy to have it showing correctly as new to riding 2 strokes.

Any thoughts please? Is a replacement unit the only way to go?

      Thanks, Mark

@gibboharps never heard of this issue I’m guessing there some rust or something causing an obstruction these clocks can be opened but I have never managed to do it China do nice replacement units that may be your way to go unless anyone else has better info
