The last owner of my dt 125 r messed with the electronics, it doesnt have lights. He wanted to make ik like a motocross bike. But the powervalve also doesnt work. I dont have an ignition and a battery but is it neccesary? A brown and a black wire that come from the powervalve motor are connected to the killswitch, and a black-yellow wire comes from the cdi, but is that all?!? And why doesnt it work now?

      Hi Niels,

Sounds like they've done a number on that bike.

You're going to need to be a whole more descriptive than that I am afraid.

Yamaha made variations from country to country as well as years. From three whore power valve servos to 5. From restricted CDIs to full power and derestricting various from model to model.

Some powervalves were also fixed with no servos.

So if we're going to help, we'll going to need engine numbers, assuming they're correct for the year. CDI versions, powervalve setup and then we need to locate the correct wiring diagram for your bike

        Cdi: 3CN-00 16L
        Servo: 3MB - 00 16N
        Engine left side: 3BN03 Y-1
        Cylinder: 3MB 00
        Engine backside: 4BL-006984
        Stator cover: 1N23456

These are all the numbers i’ve found, i have no idea what tear bike i have. The sticker on the side just says 125r

I got the powervalve to work, but how can i charge the battery? Or can the servo also run on the power from the stator and what wires would that be?

@niels-j Can't say whether the servo would operate with a completely flat battery but here's a 3NC wiring diagram which I'm fairly certain your bike has due to the numbers on the CDI unit and the 2-pin connector with blue and light blue wires. I'm a bit too tired to get involved with a wiring question now due to a long cycle ride today but have a look at my previous posts, the 3NC wiring has been discussed quite a lot on here:
