Hi All

Does anyone know the part number of the cable clamp band on the rhs fork bottom? I can't find it on the fiches on Fowlers.

Anorak question. Has anyone got a picture showing the exact placement of the Yamaha decal on the rear fender of a 99 DT?

I bought it from a bloke that brings them in. As long as you have the Nova number, you get insurance on the frame no, get an MOT, fill out form V55/5 and you'll get your registration. Piece of cake.

You could try something called Modelstrip. Available from many model shops, it strips paint off plastic models without damaging the plastic. Obviously test a small area first. Brake fluid will whiten the plastic. Bear in mind they were likely sprayed because they were worn out.

As someone else said, it would likely be cheaper and better just to buy new. I bought a new rear fender for £20 from Fowlers. Cheap as chips.

Just taken it out for a test ride to make sure she is ready for MOT. Wish I was 17 again. Lovely fun bike.

Cough **** Approx £80 per stanchion including VAT. Upper bushes approx £10 each including VAT. By the time all seals and oil are replaced we will be at something like £250. If it was a Honda we'd have just replaced the bushes and have been at £120 all in. Obviously no labour in that as we're doing it ourselves.

Thanks gents. Had a chat with both Fowlers and local Yamaha dealer. Upshot is that lower bushes are not available, unlike Honda who supply such things, do 2 new fork stanchions it has had to be. Not too expensive thankfully...

Yes, a French bike. Tried looking for a decent UK bike but there was nothing to be found. We're giving it a thorough check over then off for MOT and UK registration.

Hi

Does anyone know where you can get the lower fork bushes for a 2000 DT? Looking at Fowler fichr it seems only the upper bush is sold with the lower coming as part of the fork leg
