Newbie from NottinghamHey all!
My name is Peter or PJ for short, I've been riding bikes since I was 5 years old. The first bike I rode was a DT50, My legs dangled over the petrol tank and couldn't even reach the pegs! My dad would to get me into 3rd gear and jump off the back lmao.
I'm currently 22 and I am from Nottingham.
After getting sick and tired of catching the bus, I bought my DT125RE/X in March and have had so much fun since.
Will soon be going for full license so can't wait for that either! Here's a pic of my DT, it's fairly well looked after, just had the first rebore after 28000 miles.
Thanks for having me on the forum!

DEP vs RomeuHenriquesIts sounds a lot better in person and the videos don't really do it justice. I have a video of when I had the DEP on, so I'll put my gopro on tomorrow, get a quick vid of the romeu and post it on here as a "comparison" for anyone interested

DEP vs RomeuHenriquesJust wanted to update this thread and say I got my romeuhenriques exhaust.
My DEP has a small hole near the cylinder head, so thought I'd treat myself.
Before hand, I was struggling to get 60mph in 6th out of my bike with the DEP on. With the new exhaust I'm in 4th gear at 55-60.
The powerband is a lot more prominent and you can feel it actually pull you back.
The bike also comes up in 1st 2nd and 3rd with no clutch, just raw power.
Thought I'd update this thread incase anybody is sitting on the wall debating if they should get a DEP or spend the extra money and get the better exhaust.

DT 125 RE coolant expansion bottle queryThe top hose doesn't connect anywhere, its an overflow/expansion system.
On my bike it feeds down through the middle of the frame and pokes out near the spring/swingarm.
The bottom pipe connects to the top of the radiator so that the back expansion bottle acts as an expansion/overflow bottle.

DT125R vs DT125RE PistonHey guys,
The piston has just blown on my DT125RE 2005. I'm looking around for a new piston kit (.25mm Oversize) but everywhere seems to have them on back order.
Would a piston kit for a DTR be okay for this? I know that these are the same bore size, I'm just unsure of the other differences (height ect) and was hoping that somebody could shed some light on this for me?
Here's a pic of the piston for giggles. The bike has done 28000 miles, 4000 since I have had it, doesn't seem to have been rebored. Could this be the original piston or is that a bit far fetched
Thanks,
