@Calum said in exhaust dt125r 07 model:
@Minia I don't think it's enough to go off the registration alone. Since that only indicates to when it was registered, not year of manufacture. VIN would be the best place to look if you're unsure. But I don't know the numbers.
I know, that's why I stuck the pictures on. I am wary of plates, especially when it comes to those facebook morons selling their vehicle and telling me its a 1956. Honestly at that point I am forced to wonder why they say 1956 instead of 56 plate or the year on their V5, assume they don't know how the plate numbering system works or in special cases people who believe their vehicle is from the year 1956 and that has happened to me once so far... I just walked away.

@pedro1970 See this thread bud;

However if you want the ultimate in looks and performance then go for a Romeu pipe;
As they are not only hand made but they will outperform, outlast and look simply amazing on any DTR, as well as adding value. Personally I would not waste any more effort on this, just order that bad boy and be a happy biker 24/7!!!

@Calum Very true, but I've not heard any reports of any major fitting issues about the Romeu pipes. Plus how many people complain about the quality and durability of DEP pipes? Which rust, look like crap quickly and are made from paper thin metal, ergo they wear out very quickly. Plus the Romeu is £30 cheaper even without shopping around, so I would say that it's a no-brainer which one to buy. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

The DEP is made of toilet paper, but it is one of the best designs for standard DTR. The geometry with the DEP was shared between Firebox and SPES, both great pipes.
Romeu's normal pipe doesn't rival the over rev with a DEP , comparatively the 'Special version' which is closer design, is incredibly expensive compared to performance gain against a DEP.
But he does great work, but also know examples of poor fitment aswell.

Of course there's always the FMF system from a WR200, which I completely forgot about and fit's well too. Exhaust pipes seem to be a hot topic on here ATM.

Not cheap mind, but then quality products never are!!!
