Discontinued by the looks of it. And the company that sold it has gone out of business.

Next closest option to ask this geezer to make you one.

Like you saw in the other post, someone did buy one not too long ago. So maybe they can let us know where they got it from. It used to be readily available, but I guess the DTR has dropped in popularity a lot since that exhaust released, so it wouldn't surprise me if it's been discontinued.

            Romeu Henrique?…

            alt text

            alt text

Trustworthy guy who does solid, honest work with stainless steel that will last forever…

It was £300~350 something (£110 for tailpipe) I can’t remember exactly but it was the same kinda price a DEP costs, but won’t rust out in a year or dent if you breathe on it heavily 🙂 …

The cheaper one (£90?) is welded up, you can’t take it apart and service it.
Pay the extra £20-30 and you can remove the rivets and re~pack the silencer wadding when it gets oil-soaked. It’s a no brainier really. It’s serviceable and lasts forever…

I hope you shelled out the extra? If not I’ll be interested in the cheaper one anyways! 🙂 Either way I don’t think you’ll be disappointed…

@SpookDog Didnt know that there are more options, so i texted him now about that silencer. Im glad to hear that it is good, at least I know that i spent my money on something solid.

As said Mattey, I've had mine for 10+ years and it's still spotless. I take mine out in the salt/grit and all sorts. So it's worth the money as it lasts a very long time.

@SpookDog So I texted him, and he said that currently he makes only the welded one, so the only option for repacking is to cut it and then weld it again, not very practical but not that big deal. He also said that the wadding lasts a long time.

It up to you, but I’d really want the serviceablity of a riveted tail pipe…

Got anyone who can Tig weld aluminium for you? Lovely full aluminium tail pipe!…

@SpookDog So he finally offered me the riveted one too 😁 , but in my opinion it doesn't look as good as the welded one. I saw on the picture that you have the riveted one that he offered me, so could you please show me how it looks on the bike to help me decide? Thank you.

I know what you’re saying, the welded one has a modern shape to it. If you go on looks alone it’ll be the welded one. I’ve had to repack the wadding in the tailpipe since I’ve been running it, it got soaking wet and ineffective. It happens when it soaks up 2 stroke oil as well…

                                      My JollyMoto...in 10 years never.

My bloody TYGA end can on my Cagiva Raptor is literally ~4 years old and I swear its blown. I have done countless more miles on my DT than the Cagiva WTH! I repacked my DEP end can when I had it.

I'd get the rivoted one Mattey it is a no brainer. To repack it after it's been welded will make a complete dogs dinner of it. Just buy the rivoted one and don't worry about the aesthetics too much. I have about £1000 of end cans at home and they're all rivoted.

It depends on how many miles you do. I’m just a big fan of serviceable parts. There are loads of really good ones out there. Aluminium, stainless or carbon…

I’ve repacked twice in 3-4 years or 30,000 miles. You only have to pack it once for it to be an issue tho bud 😉 …
