Well ive purchased a basket case and rebuilt it up to what it is now. I've got 1 plug left over unused and need some advise on what it's for if possible. There is no inline fuse on the power cable from battery I will fit one onto it. But little further back there is a 2 pin plug with what looks like red and brown wires anybody tell me what this is for? Every other plug connection on the loom is accounted for. The bike is 2002 reg dt125r. TIA not sure how to upload pics using phone also any help with that and can upload the plug in nearest location where it sits now.

      Hi there,

Certainly from my experience it's not uncommon to have a plug left undone. On my RE it was for a factory fitted immobiliser (or so I'm led to believe) that was an optional extra and thus not fitted.

Are you saying that this bike is not running?

With regards to the inline fuse, what's the matter with the OEM fuse box design? There really isn't an awful lot on the DTR that warrants that kind of control. The RE has a starter motor, which draws significant current, but even then the fuse box is sufficient.

Upload the photo to a photo hosting software, grab the URL to the image and ![](www.example.com/image.jpg) put that into your post and it'll render the image. The syntax is called Markdown, it's a very powerful type setting language.

Hi I purchased the bike as a non runner seller thought is was cheap 2 stroke oil his son had used been off roaded for 5 years looked like it had been buried in sand on a beach but I found spark plug was dead no spark at all. Tried new plug it sparks good power valve turned on ignition power and indicators brake light along with neutral light etc all worked so I ripped it down to bare frame for powder coating and rebuilt engine along with headstock and wheel bearings swingarm and linkage rebuilt if it moves it's new. Carbon ultrasonic cleaned and fully rebuilt. It has 3rm-30 cdi a 3mb00 barrel 3bn head with no restriction band (i think that's correct) reed switch from back of the clocks is removed and taped up behind the light. Do all wiring loom on all models pass between the mudgaurd and bottom yolks on these? Had to reroute this 3 times. There is no fuse at all on this bike or fuse box and wiring diagrams have it just after the battery on the power wire pushed into the strap holding battery i have some so will fit 1 think its 10amps I need Anyone correct me if I'm wrong. I think ive found what the plug is for thinking it's for the horn bolted onto the bottom of the bracket holding oil tank in place this was taped up when I removed the loom. Final parts arriving tommorow so will hopefully get it finished and fired up. Thanks for advise

Sounds like you've had a right restoration on your hands.

These are fetching for a mint on eBay so it's well worth putting the effort in to it.

Pretty sure this lad is dreaming but he wants ~£6000 for that one.

OK will figure pics eventually using phone and not exactly great with tech. I have moved onto find another problem. Powervalve won't line up to alignment holes and sit flush in exhaust port. if this pic has uploaded then it shows with power valve aligned to holes but valve not flush and other pic is how far out it would be if flush in exhaust port.
