    Hi guys sorry if this is in the wrong section I've noticed oil in my coolant bottle is it a case of the head gasket has gone or water pump seal thanks 0_1485611450167_20170127_150628.jpg

      Either or.

      If it's the gearbox then that will be creamy.

      Common enough for the head gasket.

          No, if the water pump seal fails then the gearbox oil will go creamy.

          Yeah sounds like head gasket failure at some point. It may have been previously installed and it can be a nightmare to clean the coolinh system.

            @Calum I'll take the bottle off and the pipes clean them and run water through the radiator

              @Ricky Yeah water is not going to get the oil out bud. You need something that will drag the oil out. But not petrol. Use some sort coolant flush.
