Hi everyone I have just bought a 1989 dtr 125cc
Previous owner has cut the wiring loom and tried to
    Re wire (badly).
There is now no spark, has anyone got a basic wiring diagram to enable a spark?

Get yourself a Haynes manual, will have all the information you need.

No spark, first rule would be side-stand switch. If that doesn't do it you will have to work your way from the battery to the spark plug itself.

@Minia hi Iโ€™ve now got a spark, it was the pick up coil. Now the bike wonโ€™t start. Cleaned carb, checked reeds, checked compression(reading 100ps)

Wondered if the timing might be out? Does an occasional backfire but nothing else ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ
