Hi everyone I have just bought a 1989 dtr 125cc
Previous owner has cut the wiring loom and tried to
    Re wire (badly).
There is now no spark, has anyone got a basic wiring diagram to enable a spark?

Get yourself a Haynes manual, will have all the information you need.

No spark, first rule would be side-stand switch. If that doesn't do it you will have to work your way from the battery to the spark plug itself.

@Minia hi I’ve now got a spark, it was the pick up coil. Now the bike won’t start. Cleaned carb, checked reeds, checked compression(reading 100ps)

Wondered if the timing might be out? Does an occasional backfire but nothing else 😟😟
