I will say right now mate, the most fun I've had on my DTR is in bog stock trim.
I absolutely adored the handling of it stock, or lack there of.
My SM DT just grips and stops on a dime and that's really safe, but doesn't make for much fun.
Now I love my setup, wouldn't change it for the world. I'm just saying, grass isn't always greener.
By far the best thing you can do, get some dual sport tyres (so you can still do light off roading). Stiffen that front suspension unit up. get a pipe on it and a 3MB head if it hasn't got it already and and a Zeeltronic ignition system.
You bike will be absolute hoon to ride and will pack a little punch too.
Otherwise, I'd sell that DTR and get a better bike like an Aprilia MX125. Trust me, if I had my time again, that's exactly what I'd do.

So why would you want SM setup then?
They do motox wheels for those too.
Would be a lot better for what oyu want as you'd just swap the wheels over and not, the wheels forks, spacers brakes etc etc!

In finland people dont like dtr so they are cheap and the parts. My uncle paid most of my bike so i dont want to sell it. In my town no one can say to me that i have crappy bike because at the moment there is only 1 yamaha wr 125 4 stroke.
No one is going to buy a1 bike because insurance for dt is 550€ a year with minium plan. Also the license is 200€ - 500€I will get carbon reeds and athena exhaust plany of power for me. All i need is that when derbi 70cc boys come and say lets race i dont even have to think will i win say if i had a wr 125.

now you see what im aiming for sleeper dt looks ruff but more power than 11kw. i need to update the project
