Definitely needs investigating that. Sounds like some gear rubbing on the housing.

@Calum but the noise is literally only coming from the clutch side, my guess is it's either something to do with the waterpump or even the flywheel, I'll put the cover off tomorrow and check the flywheel, I know on my mates husky hes flywheel key broke and it made a similar noise but I'll definitely get back to you guys as soon as I know something, really appreciate the time guys thank you

Dude, check the throw-out cog on the kickstart shaft. It sounds like it’s not disengaging properly...wrote on 28 Oct 2020, 15:15 last edited by@SpookDog I actually turned the Kickstarter while the bike was idling and normally it would make a noise but it didn't so I actually do think it might be that,I'll get a new gasket and pull the casing off to check the Kickstart shot man

I like to know when things actually work out...wrote on 28 Oct 2020, 20:48 last edited by@SpookDog will definitely keep you posted, yes I'm also sure it's that just gotta take a look at it the weekend, it shouldn't damage anything right? Just for 2 days I need to use the bike for work so it needs to wait till Saturday

I wouldn't ride it with that sound.
And LC engines have got to be hard to come by now surely.

Definitely sounds like something (a gear cog) is rubbing somewhere.
And there was nothing untoward about the engine? Nothing was lose inside? No metal filings in the oil?
