Yamaha dt 125 clutch making a noise

I wouldn't ride it with that sound.

And LC engines have got to be hard to come by now surely.

@SpookDog hey man, I checked the Kickstart everything still good on it and cleaned it up but the noise is still there

Definitely sounds like something (a gear cog) is rubbing somewhere.

And there was nothing untoward about the engine? Nothing was lose inside? No metal filings in the oil?

Dude, if you can hold down the kickstart without it making the clacking noise while running it’s definitely it...

If you get stuck I have an old kickstart shaft assembly you could try swapping out. It absolutely has to bit it if it’s not making the proper noise when held down. It sounds like the cog isn’t going all the way back as it should...

Sheet, my bad! I still think it’s the kickstart throw out gear. If you hold down the kickstart and it doesn’t make any difference to noise...
