@SpookDog send me photos of that shock, I’m curious as there was one up for sale a while ago that was rough as fuck listed as 200r shock but was actually of a Lanza meaning better suspension and more adjustment options. I think it sold for less then £40/30 quid too.
I nearly bought it but I was poor and didn’t realise it was a Lanza.
Also how you getting on with those kenda’s?
I’ve found the best way with building is to do what you’re doing now, make lists, organise and compile parts then decommission the bike for a bit then work your way front to back or back to front.
I’m also expecting a full review of that pipe! No one has really said about the characteristics of it, they always just say “yer mate it’s good”. My stock pipes looking a little worse for wear lately so I want to get one.
-
I don’t have it yet, the bloke I brought my Yz upside down forks and ally swing arm has it. I haven’t seen him for a while. He was putting n rd200 twin engine into a Dtr frame, but was gonna put both barrels into a 2 into 1 pipe he made, which I’ve since discovered isn’t a good idea ...
Getting unbanned from the fleabay vendor!
-
Actually still waiting on the swing arm as well
I’ve just discovered that the chain I’ve been using since January has a roller missing on one end of the chain! On inspection I noticed that there was a lot of wear on the rear sprocket in a short time, also that there was a —-/—-/—-/ slight judder in 1st gear where the chain was gripping the top of the sprocket. I’m gonna remove the offending link and readjust the tension. It makes a lot of difference to performance when the chain doesn’t run easy and smooth.
There’s always something! ... -
D@mn! Removing 1 link has left the chain too short for the min adjustment of the snails! I’m in the process of cannibalising a link off of my old o-ring chain, so I can maintain adjustability with the snails...
I would normally just replace the chain & sprockets, but I balk against doing it just as winter is kicking in with all the road salt damage I suffered from last year. It mullahed my O-ring-chain & exhaust last winter. We didn’t even have any snow or ice down my way! Waste of salt 🤪 ... -
@Calum if he leaves the chain on he will have small sprockets soon enough
-
WTF has happened to the sites format?!!...
-
Rear sprockets are beyond my ability to find for sale, other than standard 57 tooth ones...
What the fuel is going on with the site? Most buttons don’t work, it’s totally FUBAR @ the moment ...
-
All the date and time stamps have disappeared! Nearly all the buttons are inaccurately inactive 🤪 Or is this just happening @ my end?...
-
@Calum
IT issues…… Switch it off, switch it back on again -
It’s still not working. I’ve deleted my cache, turned off the phone and the only way I can post is the bar at the top and I have to turn the phone sideways to do that! If I press the reply at the bottom of someone’ else’s post it returns me to the top of the thread! Weird!...
-
Oh! I only just read the ‘I upgraded the software yesterday ‘ bit. Just when my problem started! Is it perhaps not iPhone friendly?...
-
Safari is my browser
-
@SpookDog No it's probably because your browser has cached something and the page is error.
It's just using Bootstrap so it's unlikely to not be Safari compatible.
-
I’ve cleared my cache, and it’s only started since the software update. I might be the only one using an iPhone. So it only bothers me ️ ...
-
@SpookDog
I use IPad and IPhone no issues so far…. You have upgraded to iOS 16 haven’t you ? That’s the latest software. -
Posts have disappeared, as well...
-
@SpookDog It'll be something to do with your phone unfortunately. There isn't anything I can do my end to fix that.
If you go to the Apple App Store and download a different browser you'll see that it'll appear as normal.

It's working fine my end after I patched the software, but when I used my laptop the website was totally broken for me. Clearing my cookies/cache fixed this issue for me.
