@declan I doubt much will be interchangeable with the DTR.

What RD engine is it out of interest? RD engines are starting to command good money. If you it and rebuild it you could be on to a little money maker.

@declan I'd probably give it a miss, especially if the details are sketchy.

@calum I don't think I'm being clear I'm just diagnosing a right side crank seal at the moment, there's a guy selling engine parts separate on eBay just ask what part and he will list it but he only has rd parts and all's I need is an idler gear and a shaft so I figured maybe I could get a decent deal since the market for rd parts is low so the price is also low but tbh the fact the part numbers don't match is probably the answer to my question lol

@declan Yeah sure, but if you knew if it was a RD LC Engine, then it could be a similar part. But as you said you're not sure of the year. And RDs were made for a LONG time. So unless you have all the details, I'd just stick to parts you know will fit.

What's the matter with your idle gear?

@declan That isn't a bad price for a brand new idle gear IMO.

But if you have two engines, one bike, I'd definitely swap it back. Especially if you only have one kicker.

The nice thing about the idle gear is that it should be an easy swap out.

@calum yeah I already swapped it once, yeah I'm in agreement it's definitely a good price I was supposed actually but I like the cheaper options the easy way is boring and is just not how I do things I like the deals lol.

@declan Sure, we all like a bargain. I have found that in my experience, it's never really paid out and I've had to spend twice as much on alternative options instead of opting for the more costly item.

But I lack any sort of patients...
