Hi guys stumbled across a dtx on eBay ( https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-Dt-125-x-/313646551854?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0) and noticed it's got an apico kick start fitted, and its got my ebay scences tingling, has anyone on here done this? I'm wondering if it actually fits or if he's happy bodging or what ever, I have been toying with the idea as the top lock spring on mine has gone anyway but I have no interest in messing up the spline for a shiny kicker.

Why not be the second one to try? Or contact the geezer through fleabay? It looks like he dropped the kicker onto the original ‘spline clamp’ to me...

@spookdog Yeah, but if it's not precisely correct....

I'd like to think, the Apico lever splines will give up before the Yamaha Kick Starter shafter. That said, not worth the risk IMO, especially as these parts are getting very hard to get a hold of, for some reason.

@calum that's exactly what I was thinking it's not worth the risk, my one doesent bother me just thought that it would have looked good with the apico gear lever and that, unless it could be dropped on to an original bottom part as spook said, I would try if they wernt a 70 quid gamble lol did think as there for us maybe find a cheap second hand yz one to check the fit and go from there

On a stock bike it just doesent make much sense but on a modded bike it could be cool to have a non standard kickstarter to make the bike that bit more unique
