WR125R Wheels

I have a problem with my rear hub and unless my friend can solve it for me I will have to replace it. Basically the disk bolts are solid in the hub and are un-removable without destroying the bolt hole positions. I'm hoping that my pal will be able to drill them out for me, but as I went through 4 drill bits just doing one today I'm not hopeful.

Anyhew; I have spotted a rear wheel from a WR125R with a wider 2.15 rim. The wheel looks very good if a little pricey, but the wider rim is very appealing, so my question is will it fit straight on? The hubs look pretty much identical and the respective part numbers are almost identical too. (DTR = 3BN-25311-01-35 / WRR = 3BN-25311-02-P0) However the bearings and axle/spindle numbers are different.

So can anyone confirm if it will fit, even if at worst I will have to fit DT bearings in order to use my existing spindle???

Wait for confirmation, but I was under the impression the wrx wheels were very similar to the dtx, other than the dtx used Excel rims not saxxes

@Calum Thanks Calum and I won't do anything until I get my wheel back. I was just looking for options and sounding people out if the bad news does arrive?

Ahh in that case mate. No. Lol.

Not even remotely worth it. The dtr wheel was common as muck. Used on a wide range of motorcycles. A fresh one will go for around 30 quid mark. The wider profile is no point

@CYBER-NINJA Well that is what I have paid for and sold for in the past. Scrap yars will have tons are straiggt true wheels that's where I picked mine up. W

Got the wheel back late this afternoon and my friend has done a damn fine job! I'll take some pics and post them on my build thread. ;O)

I used a 09' WR125R rear wheel on my DT some time ago, it's a direct swap. I couldn't find a decent original, but the WR wheel set is not as nice.

DTR rims are Takasago's and much nicer quality, DT hubs are nicer castings too.
