What's the position of the spring that unites the headlight to the support, I took it apart a few months ago and I can't see how I will put these together since the spring looks small in any position I tried

You on about the weird spring~clip thing? Not a spring ‘as such’?
The two outer ‘legs’ fit into the surrounds rims inner ‘lip’ and the central ‘oblongy’ bit grips the tab on the head light.
I had to do it the hard way by trial and error, and error, and error, ect
I think I fitted the adjuster screws first, then tackled the clip. It was a long time ago and an absolute pain in the ass. It’s getting it around the right way. Not back to front.
If you get really stuck I’ll take off my headlight and post a pick…

Thank you 🫡 I will try this weekend to get it in place, I should have taken a picture of it before disassembly, and I remember when I took it apart my though was "this won't be easy to put together again" I was right

Once you know the clips ‘legs’ fit into the chrome surround, there are only two ways for it to go. The right way and upside down!…
Both are the right way…
Taking the headlight off was a massive PITA! I’m going to have to adjust the beam again now!

@SpookDog thank you 🫡 but my spring is different it doesent arch like that in the middle it's straight
