      Hi there,

      Nice bike that you have.

Yes looks like you have a Motori Minarelli 3MB00P Engine. Altered cylinder with a 1mm raised exhaust port and an altered head to match.

You'll find that the crankcases will have Motori Minarelli stamped in side the powervalve pulley, the powervalve end cap and behind the clutch cover.

It's effectively a DTRE engine with a different stator.

The project started: we started by checking the cooling system since the water pump seal seems to be broken and water leaked into the box. I have already acquired the seal.

I wanted to show you the radiator cap, do you think this cap works or would it be better to replace it?

I will soon be testing the thermostat to confirm its correct operation. I have encountered a problem which is the radiator water drain screw. Apparently the motor is closed from the factory and the screws are very hard. Would you have any advice on how to remove it?

Impact screw driver can be used to crack off the screw. It shouldn't be too hard to remove. But take it steady and try not to round off the head, should come off no dramas.

@Calum Thank you very much for answering. Today I'll eat the impact screwdriver, tomorrow it should arrive at my house.
I was taking apart the exhaust and looking at the piston, it doesn't look in very good condition. I attach a photo and I would like to know your opinins

It's probably fine. I'd just do a compression test make sure it's within tolerance and schedule in a top end refresh if you don't know when it was last done. Generally though, the DTR is a pretty strong engine so it's damn reliable.
