(Scotland) Looking for front brake caliper housing to fit 99 DTR
-
Hi all I've been having trouble with my bike recently and turns out I need a new front caliper. After ordering one off eBay it turns out the seller sent a back caliper. I would appreciate any help I could get as I desperately want the bike ready for the road by the 18th as it's my 17th and I will be all ready to go

I certainly wouldn't be paying the prices they're asking for on Fleabay.
Yamaha don't make calipers, Nissin are usually their preferred supplier. So I'd be looking at other Yamaha's of a similar era that used the same brake setup and grabbing a caliper off of one of those.
Possibly a YBR or something. Check the part numbers for compatibility:

Wow really? That's savage. It's aluminium, how corroded could it be!
Well I wouldn't be paying £200 for what is effectively a shit caliper.
I'd be finding something similar or off another bike.
