So if i was to buy one of these to remove the battery and shave a bit more weight off the dt would it be a probelem for the power valve? Usually when I turn on the ignition it does a power valve cleaning cycle before I've kick started the bike. What would happen if the CDi/power valve suddenly got the power as the engine started? eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=272360096529&alt=web

      Hhmm good question.

Says it works fine on rd and they use YPVS.

All I know is that the powervalve is known to be sketchy on low battery.

But this ad seems to be fine with it. Wouldn't be any good om the RE since it wouldn't power the startermotor

I ran this Capacitor for a long time using the standard CDI and had no problems with the YPVS servo motor. Yes without charge it won't activate the cleaning cycle from Ignition.

These capacitors don't hold much charge, and I encountered program/eratic sparking, Miss firing issues using a Programmable CDI without a constant 12V feed.

        Keep it real
