Crankshaft replacement!

Hi!
Have anyone replaced their crankshaft by themself? I am a car mechanic, and have little experience with these types of engines. I can't seem to find a guide with pictures on the web yet, so if anyone know of one, please let me know. A have the Haynes Workshop Manual, and it's not very helpful since my english isn't very good (I NEED PICTURES :D)

I see - i'm just a bit worried about getting into the gearbox parts and mess something up, when I have to split the cases. But I guess i'll give it a go Thanks for the pics! By the way, i'm considering buying a complete new aftermarket crankshaft, called "Jasil" from ebay, any experience with these?

The standard cranks are good for nuff power mate. I've forged the connecting rod and that's it. I don't see what there is to gain from a modified crank?
Lightened flywheel perhaps. Ut a Zeeltronic Ignition system is a must. And then a decent underslung exhaust system with bigger carb and ported and polished head and barrel.
It's all in my build thread. There isn't a Lot I haven't done.
The gearbox mate don't worry about. It's a doddle and if you cable tie it like I have then you cannot go far wrong. Cable tie it all together before removing it and plave it back in cable tied.
Mate you're a mechanic. I work in IT and haf no prior knowledge of mechanics before starting the build. It's a piece of cake.

It's not about power - I don't know anyone who can replace a connecting rod near of where I live, so that's the only reason i'm looking to buy a complete crank People who does this are not very common in Denmark, even my local Yamaha dealer can't do it..

Aww mate what a waste.
Pjme mate. You can send the crank off to be rebuilt mate. Honestly don't throw your money away.
Rebuilding yhe crank is a specialist Job. Even if you have to send it away to be rebult yhere are loads of companies that do crank rebuilds. Even in Denmark

I guess i'll look into it in the upcoming week, no of my local dealers could help my though, but I guess I could send it somewhere, as you propose. I am going to buy the parts from PJME, can you explan to me what "TZ Style Big End Bearing" means, and is it the way to go?

Yamaha do a ruthless two stroke race bred machine called the TZ. The TZ is a full Grand Prix bike. So presumably it runs some sketchy kind of little end bearing.

That's the rods I use. Very high quality. But PJME recommend Long rods for generic builds. Mines supposively tuned.
