2002 dt125r rev limit??

Hi all I've recently purchased my 2nd dtr which is fairly standard other than a dep silencer, after changing all crankcase bearings finally got to ride it
it only seems to rev to 7500rpm?? It seems to back off after this my other dtr was also a 2002 and didn't have this problem?? Any ideas what the cause could be??

Sounds like the bike is still restricted.

Oh right?? How do I go about derestriction as I've read about a black and green wire behind the headlight but can't seem to find it??

@declan yeah it does the cleaning cycle as normal so seems to be working

Sounds to me like it is simply not setup right. Closing when it should be opening.

@Calum wait a min buddy are you telling me my dt is still restricted it redlines around 8.5?
