Hi all I've recently purchased my 2nd dtr which is fairly standard other than a dep silencer, after changing all crankcase bearings finally got to ride it 😂 it only seems to rev to 7500rpm?? It seems to back off after this my other dtr was also a 2002 and didn't have this problem?? Any ideas what the cause could be??
    Cheers Mitch

@mitch_350z quickest, dirtiest solution would be to diwconnect the servo, pin the valve so it is flush with the exhaust port, then ride it.

@mitch_350z Yeah fix the servo. But doing this will help to identify the faulty component.

@calum I don't think there is a fault with the servo?? It works perfectly fine upto around 7000rpm??

@mitch_350z It shouldn't close at 7000 mate, not even restricted. Restricted dtre's close at 10.

Sounds to me like it is simply not setup right. Closing when it should be opening.

@Mitch_350z So long as its flush with the exhaust port that's the main thing.

@calum it seems to ride better when pinned but still only does 65 max and doesn't pull too well in 6th?? Struggles a little to rev up to but don't know If this is because of the pinning??
